Making A Purchase

ELintels have made our purchasing system as simple as possible and very user friendly.

Simply browse around our huge selection of lintels and related products and select the product that is right for you. This product will then be added to your checkout page. When you have finished adding your selections, click on 'Checkout' and you will be required to give a few simple details to complete your order.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (exc Amex) and will also accept payment via Paypal. Payment is taken and processed immediately via Barclaycard merchant services. Once payment is made you will receive confirmation that your order is being processed and does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, on receipt of your invoice from us. This is to protect us from pricing being inaccurate or our failure to be able to supply a particular product. This however, should be a very rare occurrence. In the event of a price increase by our suppliers, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Description of Goods

Quantity and description of the goods are set out in the confirmation of order.

Drawings, photographs, specifications and advertising are published for the sole purpose of giving an approximate idea of the described goods. They do not form part of the contract and this is not a sale by sample.

When fine or special tolerances are required in the goods supplied beyond those generally accepted in the building trade, no liability shall attach to us unless such tolerances are notified in writing to us at the time of order and we have acknowledged in writing that we are prepared to accept such order.

Delivery of Goods

When placing your order you will be asked for a preferred delivery time and address and any special instructions regarding access etc.

Delivery shall occur when you take possession of the goods where we agree to deliver. All dates and times we specify for delivery of the goods are an estimate. We shall not be liable to you if we do not deliver on or at any particular date or time. Time for any delivery shall not be made of the essence by notice. If you fail to accept delivery of any goods when they are ready for delivery, or we are unable to deliver the goods because you have not provided appropriate instructions, documents or consents, we shall be entitled to immediate full payment and risk in the goods shall pass to you.

Delivery is to "kerbside" and is at the driver’s discretion as to whether they enter the property to unload, Elintels will not be held liable for any damage incurred. 

Free Delivery is to UK mainland only excluding parts of Scotland and Ireland (Please email us for delivery charges to other areas and islands).

Delivery Schedule

We aim to deliver your order within 3-4 working days for standard stock items and will notify you of estimated delivery schedule for special none stock items where you will have an opportunity to cancel your order via email should this not be satisfactory. Should there be any additional delay we will contact you asap.

Standard Delivery Charge

  • Orders with a sales value of over £499 (excluding VAT) will be delivered free of additional charge.
  • Orders with a sales value of £499 or less (excluding VAT) will be charged a delivery cost of £79.00 (excluding VAT).

Standard Terms of Delivery

  • All orders must be signed for on delivery to confirm they have been received in good and undamaged state
  • An additional charge will be made if orders have to be redelivered.
  • Where goods are returned a restocking fee of 50% of the sales value will be payable. (Non-standard and bespoke products however will not be accepted for return) Please note that carriage will not be refunded.
  • The purchaser must ensure that there is reasonable access for delivery. If delivery is not possible an additional charge may be made for redelivery.

Onsite Delivery Waiting Times

  • An additional charge will be made if our drivers are onsite for more than 1 hour without reasonable cause. Charges are standard shipping fee (£79.00 excluding VAT) per hour we are on site.

Third Party Orders and Deliveries

  • The Company will despatch goods direct to a third party or address at the Purchaser's request. Goods sent to a third party or address are despatched at the Purchaser's risk.

Risk & Ownership of Goods

  • The goods are at the purchasers’ risk from the time of delivery or deemed delivery.

Seven-day cooling off period

Consumers' rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm.

This states that consumers located in the European Union also have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered.

Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the seven working day cooling-off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund the cost of the item and the cost of sending the item to you as follows:

  • Where you are returning an item that was part  of a larger order, we'll refund the per-item charge for delivery that you incurred
  • Where you are returning an entire order, we'll refund applicable per-item delivery charges and the per-delivery charge that you incurred
  • Where we collect an item from you, we reserve the right to recover the costs of collection from you.

Where goods are returned more than 7 days after delivery, a restocking fee of 50% of the sales value will be payable. Please note that carriage will not be refunded.

Items returned because they are damaged, defective or incorrect

If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or, in accordance with our returns policy, because it is damaged or defective, you must inform us within 2 working days of delivery. We will refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and pay your costs of returning it to us.

ELintels or our agent will check all items returned as damaged or defective. In the event we find no fault, we reserve the right to re-charge you for the item/s and to recover our fees and expenses from you.

Special Order and Made-to-Measure Products

Special order and made-to-measure products may NOT be returned unless they are deemed to be faulty or have been damaged in transit. (Please see details above concerning the return of faulty or damaged products).

On request, we will provide information about any manufacturer’s guarantee offered and available to you in respect of the products supplied.

Privacy Policy

ELintels do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option, to provide statistical analysis of the site's use and also to track our online marketing. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies.
